ABOUT THE ICS
Established in 1995, the ICS Madras Branch is one of the 24 branches of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.The thrust area being Commercial Education for the Shipping Professionals, the Branch organises various seminars, workshops and events featuring expert speakers from various sectors of the Shipping Industry.
A unique feature of the ICS Madras branch is its membership. Our membership is not just exclusive to Chennai alone but stretches to other Indian cities inclusive of Delhi, Kolkata, Vizag, Tuticorin, Cochin & Mangalore, with examination centres at Delhi, Vizag, Chennai and Mangalore. This adds to the Branch’s ebullience and dynamism.
For Students
The ICS Madras Branch caters to student needs by facilitating their learning through tutorials, workshops, and seminars. Examinations are held twice a year in May and November in various Centres.
For Members
Members of the Branch areengaged with various networking events along with seminars that deal with current topics. Various renowned Industry Publications are circulated to members for enhancing knowledge on future trends.
For Companies
Companies are invited to engage with the Institute in its events and bespoke training sessions.
